Boniface is an orphan after losing both parents to the cold hands of death. He lost his mother at a young age and was raised by his grandparents in a military barrack in Akure, Ondo State.

Boniface with Bayer Leverkusen
Boniface has quickly become a standout player for Bayer Leverkusen since he made his Bundesliga debut as a starter last season.
He was instrumental in helping the club secure the Bundesliga title with five games to spare. He finished his first season as the team's top scorer in the league with 14 goals.
Boniface debuted for the Nigeria senior team, the Super Eagles, in September 2023, replacing Taiwo Awoniyi in the 64th minute and assisting Samuel Chukwueze.
He has made nine appearances for the Super Eagles but has yet to score.
