Jamie Carragher has explained why he thinks Mohamed Salah will stay at Liverpool past the end of the current campaign.
Salah has been one of Arne Slot's best players this season and recently helped Liverpool secure a narrow 1-0 victory over Girona to remain top of the table in the UEFA Champions League.
However, the winger's contract issue has been a talking point in recent weeks, with the Reds still trying to negotiate a new deal with the Egyptian.
Despite the club's final offer of a new deal to the 32-year-old, the two parties are still far from reaching an agreement.

Carragher believes Salah will sign a new contract
Carragher expressed his continued optimism that Salah will stay with Liverpool during Thursday's Stick to Football podcast.
The Liverpool legend said, “I love Mo Salah, he's one of the best players in the world, but the reason I say this is because of his age.
“When you're on that type of money and you're talking about getting a raise – a raise isn't 10 or 20 grand a week.
“How many attackers do Real Madrid have, Barcelona are in dire straits financially, PSG are nowhere near the team Liverpool are – there are only four or five teams that can realistically win the Champions League and Liverpool are one of them.
“He will stay as I'm not sure there are too many options. He's not ready to go to Saudi (Arabia) – he can do that in three years' time.
“Salah is that driven as a footballer to win the record of most goals – or whatever that may be for Liverpool.”
The former Liverpool player argued for what he saw as the primary justification for "one of the best players in the world" remaining on Merseyside.
