"I just want to enjoy," Ronaldo said. "Plan for the retirement… if it has to happen, in one or two years… I don’t know."
As he approaches his 40th birthday, Ronaldo's mindset remains simple:
"I’m turning 40 soon… I really want to enjoy, as long as I feel motivated I keep going."
"The day I don’t feel motivated, I will retire."
Ronaldo's focus remains on the present, but his words indicate a desire to keep playing until the 2026 World Cup and earn one last chance to win the coveted trophy like his great rival Lionel Messi.
