'I want to win the league' - Mo Salah assures Liverpool fans

Mo Salah's contract runs out in the summer and he'd be free to talk to suitors in January but the Egyptian has stated that he wants to win another Premier League title with Liverpool.

Liverpool star Mohamed Salah has stated that his primary focus is on securing the Premier League title for the Reds, putting contract negotiations on the back burner.

Mo Salah continues his blistering form for Liverpool in the PL with 250th goal contribution.

The Egyptian international made the statement following Liverpool's dominant 5-0 victory over West Ham on Sunday.

Salah, whose current contract with the club is yet to be extended, has been the subject of much speculation regarding his future at Anfield.

However, the prolific forward made it clear that his immediate priority lies with contributing to the team's success on the pitch, specifically targeting the coveted league title.

What Salah said

He said, “No, we are far away from that and I don’t want to put anything in the media.

“The only thing on my mind is I want Liverpool to win the league, and I want to be part of that.

Salah has scored or assisted 23 goals this season for Liverpool in all competitions.

“I will do my best for the team to win the trophy. There are a few other teams catching up with us, and we need to stay focused and humble and go again," he told BBC.

The 32-year-old scored his 20th goal of the season as Liverpool thrashed West Ham 5-0 at the London Stadium on Sunday, extending their lead at the top of the table to eight points.
