What Caicedo said
Speaking ahead of their cross-London Premier League trip to Tottenham, the Ecuador international assessed his current season in juxtaposition to the last.
He acknowledged the difficulties he faced last term and chalked them up to living in Kante’s shadows. He believes his form has improved since he got himself out of that headspace.
"Last season, I had the pressure of being the new N’Golo Kanté,” Caicedo revealed. "That affected me a lot, but when I put that behind me, I started to focus only on helping my team and proving that I am worth what they paid for my transfer."
