'You will be back'- Victor Osimhen reaches out to Icardi after ACL heartbreak
Nigeria's Victor Osimhen has sent a heartfelt message to Galatasaray teammate Mauro Icardi after the club confirmed his season has ended.
Osimhen speaks about his goals
Osimhen was unhappy not to score at least a hat-trick in this season's Europa League, despite making the difference and opening his goalscoring account.
Speaking to TNT Sports after the game, Galatasaray number 45 said, "I would have got like, if I am not mistaken, four goals.
“In the last minutes I lost a bit of focus but of course it's normal, that's why I was really angry at myself. I will go back, watch the clip and try to get better."
In the 31st minute, Osimhen was set up by Dries Mertens and scored a brilliant first-time goal to restore Galatasaray's advantage after Will Lankshear cancelled out Yunus Akgün's early opener.
Osimhen was in a good position to jump and cushion the ball into the net with his left instep from close range in the 39th minute, doubling Galatasaray's lead.
