Salah climbs higher in the Premier League highest goalscorer rankings, breaks Liverpool all-time record
The Egyptian forward continues to write his name into Premier League history, breaking several records and climbing higher in the league’s all-time rankings.
With the Reds now two points clear of City, Salah believes top spot is where they belong and must fight to remain there by the end of the season.
The Egyptian took to his X account after the game, saying:
"Top of the table is where this club belongs. Nothing less. All teams win matches but there’s only 1 champion in the end.
"That’s what we want. Thank you for your support last night.
"No matter what happens, I will never forget what scoring at Anfield feels like."
The 31-year-old is in the final year of his contract at Liverpool and the expectation is that this will be his last season at Anfield.
No matter what happens, he will go down as one of the league's greatest ever players.
