The Arsenal legend believes Mikel Arteta needs help from the board.
Arsenal legend Ian Wright has called on the club's board to take action in the January transfer market following their disappointing 2-0 defeat to Newcastle United in the Carabao Cup semi-final first leg.

Alexander Isak and Anthony Gordon scored the goals to put the Magpies in the driver's seat ahead of the reverse fixture on February 5, leaving the Gunners with a mountain to climb to make the EFL Cup decider.
Wright believes that Arsenal's lack of firepower was exposed in the match and that reinforcements are urgently needed if they are to challenge for trophies this season.
The hosts struggled to convert their possession and chances into goals against Eddie Howe’s men, highlighting their need for a prolific striker or winger, as the absence of Bukayo Saka through injury has further exposed their lack of depth in attack.

"You've got to look at the board now," the former Gunners striker told ITV. "I don't know what you do but you've got to try and so something."
"He [Arteta] needs help. I know it's very difficult to get anything in this January window but he needs something else because if it's gonna carry on like this, it's gonna be very difficult to score.
“We're not scoring with the corners, we're not scoring with the chances we're making, something needs to change. Something needs to happen.”
Arsenal's current attacking options, including Kai Havertz and Gabriel Jesus, have not been prolific in front of goal this season, although the Brazilian has been in commendable form in recent weeks.
