Ibom Angels players, Ngozi Ukwouma and Udeme Uko have both voiced optimism that their club can play well against Abia Angels FC on matchday 10.
The matchday 10 of the Nigeria Women's Football League (NWFL) between Abia Angels and Ibom Angels will be held at the Umuahia township stadium by 4 p.m.
Ngozi, who joined the team this season from Oasis Ladies of Lagos, has impressed so far, especially in the last home game against Adamawa Queens FC before the break, which ended 2-0 in favor of the Orange Ladies.
Speaking in an interview with the team's media unit before their departure, she said the team is equal to the task and ready to give their best.
"I believe in my fellow teammates, and I also believe that we will get a good result in the away game. What I'm expecting is winning because we are up to the task"
On her part, Udeme Uko, who scored one of the goals in the last home match against Adamawa Queens FC in Uyo, noted that the position in which the team is occupying at the moment does not mean the team will remain there forever.
She said, "As we meet Abia Angels, it will be a very touchy match which we are aware of. We are very sure that we wouldn't come back empty-handed in this Wednesday's game"
The League resumed from the 2023 general election break.
