Ibrahim Olawoyin has vowed to give his 'Best' for Nigeria after maiden Super Eagles invite from Finidi George.
Former Rangers winger Ibrahim Olawoyin has vowed to give his all for Finidi George’s Nigeria after receiving his first-ever call-up to the Super Eagles.
The 26-year-old, who plays for Turkish club Rizespor, was one of three players with Nigerian Premier Football League (NPFL) history to be handed their international debut by manager Finidi.

Ibrahim Olawoyin to Finidi and Nigeria
Olawoyin enjoyed a fantastic season in the Turkish league, with his goals firing Rizespor to a top-half finish after helping them gain promotion to the Super Lig last term.
The former NPFL and Rangers International winger scored eight goals and provided three assists for his club.
Despite his impressive performances in Europe, Olawoyin had previously been overlooked for the Super Eagles.
However, the versatile midfielder finally got his chance when Bayer Leverkusen's Nathan Tella withdrew from the squad for Nigeria's upcoming 2026 World Cup qualifiers against South Africa and Benin Republic.
Speaking ahead of the games, Olawoyin, who had described his maiden call-up as a privilege he will cherish forever, vowed to give his best should Finidi George trust him to make his international debut.
"I will surely give my best because it is a privilege wearing this (Nigerian) jersey," Olawoyin told the Super Eagles. "You represent the whole nation, so I will give my best."
The Super Eagles are aiming to secure a return to the biggest football fiesta in the world after missing the 2022 party in Qatar by taking one of the spots reserved for Africa in the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
After a shaky start that saw former coach Jose Peseiro take just two points from six, Finidi will be looking to revive Nigeria’s World Cup dream and Olawoyin is ready to make his call-up count on the pitch.
