Former Sweden international Zlatan Ibrahimovic announced his retirement after 24 years (1999-2023) of active excellence at the top level.
From being a legend for his Swedish national team, to marking legacies at various clubs including AC Milan, PSG, Barcelona, Ajax, Inter Milan, Juventus and LA Galaxy, Ibrahimovic did it all.
At the time of his retirement aged 41, the lanky forward had featured a whooping 988 times, garnered 573 goals and accumulated 32 trophies to his golden name.
Ibrahimovic has scored a goal for each of the 24 years he's played football at a professional level, striking in every minute of a 90-minute match.
He scored 62 times in 122 appearances for his beloved, Sweden, the most by any Swede in history.
Ibrahimovic also netted 16 goals for Malmo FF, 54 times for Ajax, 25 for Juventus, 62 for Inter, 21 for Barcelona, 156 for PSG, 29 for Manchester United, 53 for Galaxy and 88 for AC Milan over two spells.
Despite missing a Champions League medar, hel has a truly coveted trophy cabinet; two Dutch Eredivisie titles, a Dutch Super Cup, KNVB Cup, one La Liga, a Super Copa de Espana, one FIFA Club World Cup, UEFA Super Cup and Seven Serie A titles.
He has four French Championships, two Coupe de France cups, three Coupe de la Ligue cups, three trophees Des champions cups, a Europa league, an EFL Cup, an FA Community Shield and three Italian Super Cups.

He managed a similar feat in the French League 1 on three occasions at PSG with 30, 26 and 38 goals in the 2012/13, 2013/14 and 2015/16 seasons, respectively.
He was named the Sports Personality of the Year in 2007 for Sweden and 2010 as a Barcelona player.
Ibrahimovic won the 2013 FIFA Puskas Award before getting a place in the FIFA FIFPro World XI that year.
On four different occasions, he was named the Swedish Male Athlete of the Year in 2008, 2010, 2013 and in 2014.
