What Mbappe said
Speaking in an interview with Cliquetv, in an attempt to salvage some of his image damaged by the many negative stories and poor form at Real Madrid, Mbappe provided some insightful context to the incident.
According to him, he made himself available but was told he was not needed by Deschamps.
“I wanted to play for France in November. That was the coach's decision not to call me up,” Mbappe said. I can't tell you why. I'm sorry. If he wants to say it, he can. But I'm NOT allowed.”
Meanwhile, during the same media appearance, Mbappe shared how much he learnt from having a layer of Lionel Messi’s ability as a teammate at Paris Saint-Germain.
