Serie A side register interest in Super Eagles' Ola Aina
A return to Serie A is on the cards for Ola aina as suitors continue to emerge.
Nuno Espirito Santo's side remain the only team to have beaten league leaders Liverpool in the league this season. Last night a Diogo Jota goal prevented them from completing the double against Arne Slot's team, but they have successfully collected four points from a possible six against the Merseysiders.
What Aina said
Forest have their incredible defensive cast to thank for avoiding defeat against Liverpool last night. Following the intensive contest, Aina, who made a goalline clearance in the match, was asked about Forest's secrets, and he said:
“We have fun! I think we’re a very energetic group,” he told NBC Sports. ‘We take things seriously when needed, but ultimately, we just like to enjoy each and every moment that we have.
“When we need to be serious and work hard, we do that, but we also know how to enjoy every moment. We just have the right balance right now.”
Given his comments about how united they are as a group and their fun dressing room, Aina was quizzed on how he contributes to that. The Nigerian defender was asked how he transmits his culture, and he credits music, especially the Afrobeats genre and subculture.
“I would say through music. That’s the easiest way. Afrobeats is the easiest way to get the culture across, and the boys love it, so it’s good.”
“It means a lot. I’m representing Nigeria and Africa, and it just shows that there’s a lot of talent in Africa. There’s a lot of talent in our origin. We’re everywhere.”
