Vipers SC captain Milton has come out to say a word about fired Uganda Cranes coach Milutin ‘Micho’ Sredojevic.
The winger revealed Friday afternoon the kind of relationship he shared with Micho before wishing him the best in his endeavours.
“You have been and still are, a good friend, father and a mentor,” Karisa said through his social media channels on Friday.
“Thank you for all the memories and I wish you all the best coach,” he concluded.
Karisa is the latest Cranes player to show his support for Micho. Former captain Denis Onyango, assistant captain Khalid Aucho, Allan Okello and Mustafa Kizza are some of the other players to have come out since Micho’s sacking.
The Serbian parted ways with the team Thursday night, with the federation revealing that his contract was terminated by mutual consent.

FOOTBALL Milutin 'Micho' Sredojevic: Mustafa Kizza sends comforting message to fired Uganda Cranes coach
Micho's firing comes just days after the team failed to qualify for the Africa Cup of Nations despite defeating Niger 2-0 in the last match of the qualifiers played in Morocco.
Karisa has been a big part of Micho’s plans and scored the first goal of the Africa Cup of Nations Qualifiers against Niger last year.
The Vipers’ skipper was also the only locally based player to start for the Cranes in Micho’s last line up that played against Niger in Morocco.
“Today, Thursday 14th September 2023, FUFA and Mr. Milutin Sredojevic agreed to mutually end the existing employment contract between the two parties,” the federation statement said.

FOOTBALL Allan Okello grateful to sacked Uganda Cranes coach Micho
On several occasions, Okello was selected by Micho in the Cranes team but missed the team's last engagement with Niger in Morocco due to a nagging knee injury.
“FUFA appreciates all efforts and commitment by Mr. Milutin during his period as Head coach of Uganda Cranes.”
Micho’s job was on the line the moment the Cranes failed to qualify for AFCON 2023, and it was a matter of when rather than if he would be fired.

FOOTBALL Milutin 'Micho' Sredojevic: Right to fire him, but what about the timing?
Now, all the attention will turn to the Serbian Wolf and his time at the helm of the Cranes instead of the three big matches lined up for the opening day of the season.
Having helped Uganda qualify for the 2017 tournament after 39 years of waiting, Micho left the Cranes after the finals, but his return has failed to yield similar results.
