Uruguay international Ronald Araujo has reportedly changed his mind and decided to remain at Barcelona despite interest from Juventus.
The 25-year-old has 18 months left on his current deal, and as Pulse Sports reported, he was believed to be disillusioned by his status at the club and hence sought an exit.

Araujo's U-turn
Following Barcelona's sensational Supercopa de Espana victory against Real Madrid, which featured the Uruguayan as a star cast, club president Joan Laporta was questioned about his future in a press conference.
Laporta expressed the club's desire to keep him, informing the media that sporting director Deco was working on the deal. According to reports from Spanish sources, as well as the reliable Fabrizio Romano, the club have made headway, and Araujo will stay beyond January.
What's more? They have also gotten him to agree to a contract renewal in principle. Formal processes are expected to follow in the coming days for a deal that would keep him at the club beyond 2026.
