Arua Hill forward Innocent Media is set to start a new life in Italy following confirmation of his transfer to lower division side Unione Sportiva Lucera Calcio.
Media is reportedly set to travel to the Italian town of Lucera this week after agreeing to a three-year-deal with the Promozione championship side, a reliable source has intimated to Pulse Uganda Sports.
Media is reportedly being taken through basics of etiquette to help him settle in at his new club and also lessen the inevitable cultural shock that comes with relocation to a foreign country.
Lucera Calcio confirmed the transfer of the budding prospect June 30 in a Facebook post.
"A new lion is coming to town. Straight from Uganda Premier League," Lucera Calcio captioned on Facebook with a photo of Media.
The club is also holding open trials for teenagers at its base to increase its youth talent pool.
The Italian championship ranks third in the amateur division, second to a regional-level championship.
