According to reports, Inter Milan are set to meet with Arsenal about the transfer of striker Folarin Balogun.

Balogun's future at the Emirates Stadium has been discussed by the Gunners and his representation.

The Hale End graduate has drawn interest from Premier League rivals and clubs all around Europe, including RB Leipzig and Inter, thanks to his achievements.

Balogun wants regular first-team play next season after a strong season on loan at Reims, where he scored 21 goals.

The Italian giant are looking to sign the youngster and has made an approach to Arsenal on a possible transfer.

Balogun wants first team football

Folarin Balogun has told Arsenal that he wants to be a regular starter at the club and would leave if he is not guaranteed a starting berth.

Balogun's best hope of securing regular first-team football for the upcoming season may lie in moving abroad now that the 21-year-old has demonstrated his ability to start and contribute at the senior level.

According to Sky Sports Germany, Arsenal will seek £35 million for Balogun this summer from any club willing to sign him.

Romelu Lukaku's loan agreement with the club will expire this summer, and the Italian team will lose him but he could be replaced with Balogun if a deal can be agreed.

Inter looking to raise funds

Inter Milan are currently looking to raise funds this summer and are prepared to sell some of their players.

According to Football London, Chelsea is one of the teams keeping an eye on the San Siro scenario of Argentina World Cup champion Lautaro Martinez as Inter looks to raise money to reinvest in the team.

The Blues will only discuss a permanent exit for the Belgian and are unwilling to approve another loan agreement for Lukaku to join Inter.

Due to Chelsea's desire to reclaim a major portion of the £97 million transfer fee they paid for Lukaku in 2021, he will likely cost significantly more than Balogun.

His outstanding performances in France last season prove he deserves to be starting for a big club and the Arsenal talent would prove to be a more affordable alternative and may even end up being the superior signing.
