Tottenham head coach Ange Postecoglou offered no excuses as his side lost 2-1 at home to Ipswich Town in Premier League action.
Tottenham arrived for this game, hoping to bounce back after the 3-2 defeat against Galatasaray in midweek.
The expectation was a victory against relegation-threatened Ipswich, but the hosts suffered yet another defeat.
Postecoglou took full responsibility for the loss, saying:
"It's hugely disappointing. We started slow and passively and gave ourselves a mountain to climb. Second half we had chances but didn’t do enough to win the game."
He continued,
"It's just down to me. I’m not getting consistent performances from the players. It’s something I need to address.
"I’m the person in charge so that’s the way it goes. I take responsibility."
With the international break looming, Postecoglou plans to regroup and refocus his squad before their tough trip to Manchester City on November 23.
"We'll have a chat when the boys get back," he said, looking ahead to the challenge.
