Maurizio de Giovanni, a well-known Napoli supporter, has asked the team's fans to refrain from discussing Victor Osimhen's exit.
Last summer, Osimhen left Napoli in controversial circumstances after a botched transfer attempt made worse by the team's adamant position on his high transfer worth.
Due to Napoli's strong position on his high transfer price and a botched transfer effort, Osimhen quit the team in controversial circumstances.
The Super Eagles star then made a loan move to Turkish team Galatasaray and has since become their star player.

'Too good to be true' - Galatasaray are living the Osimhen dream
Turkish giants Galatasaray and their fans are pinching themselves to confirm that they have Nigeria's Victor Osimhen.
Giovanni tells fans to forget Osimhen
De Giovanni believes that Osimhen doesn't need to be the centre of attention and claims the forward and Napoli never had a close friendship.
Speaking with Vikonos Web Radio/TV, as quoted by Tutto Napoli, De Giovanni said, “It’s useless talking about Osimhen; he wanted to leave; there is no point in regretting it, it is pure self-harm.”
“As far as I am concerned, I think of him as Cavani, Higuain, Mertens, we are grateful to him, but let’s move on.
“The Nigerian has never interacted with the city, he hasn’t said a word in Italian, and he had problems with the locker room. Conte’s choice has rebalanced things.”
Osimhen was a favourite among Naples' fans because he helped the team end its 33-year league title drought the previous season with their historic Serie A title victory.
However, as transfer talks broke down, he moved on loan to Galatasaray, further damaging his relationship with the club.
Meanwhile, the Nigerian international has made headlines ever since joining the Turkish powerhouses, scoring twice against Tottenham in Galatasaray's exciting 3-2 Europa League victory.
