Massimo Giletti claims there is video evidence that implicates a famous Serie A footballer physically assaulting a girl.

Italian football is in turmoil after journalist and TV presenter Massimo Giletti made a shocking revelation during a live broadcast on Rai 3.

Giletti claims to possess damning video evidence of a "very famous" AC Milan or Inter Milan player violently assaulting a woman.

The incident, which allegedly occurred in January 2024, has sparked outrage, particularly as Serie A teams recently joined campaigns against domestic violence by wearing red marks on their faces during matches.

“I saw a very famous player from one of the two teams in Milan violently hit a girl. This girl ends up on a table, is lifted up, and he, the same player in an evidently altered state, hits her again,” he stated as per Perizona

He went on to detail more appalling behaviour, including the player smashing a wall in a fit of rage.

“These are heavy images, very heavy,” Giletti continued.

“But we will not stop working to make them seen.”

The shocking claim has ignited a debate in the footballing world.

Many are calling for swift action, particularly since Serie A players and coaches recently supported domestic violence awareness campaigns.

Giletti was quick to highlight the hypocrisy.

“If you then put a red symbol on your face and do these things, this system is not very suitable,” he said bluntly.
