Super Eagles star Kenneth Omeruo has urged his teammates to show dedication to the new head coach of the national team.
Erik Chelle was appointed the new Super Eagles head coach last week, replacing Augustine Eguavone, the interim coach.
The Malian was unveiled to Nigerians in Abuja on Monday following his appointment and has started preparation to lead the Super Eagles.

Omeruo speaks about Chelle
Omeruo is certain that Chelle's presence gives all Nigerian players, particularly those who don't frequently play for their clubs, a new chance to establish themselves with the national squad.
Speaking during a live session on X alongside Wilfred Ndidi, he said, “Everyone has to be serious now.
“It’s like an open trial because some of us haven’t been playing regularly. We have to show the manager that we deserve a place in the team if invited.”
Omeruo also commended Mali's outstanding AFCON achievements as proof of the tactician's ability when considering Chelle's coaching background.
He continued, “Judging from the way the Malian team played not just in friendlies but also at AFCON, you can see an organized structure.
“I think he has something to give to the team. With the level of talent in the Super Eagles, he wouldn’t have any problem making us play the way he wants us to play.”
The centre-back thinks Chelle's tactical skills and attention to detail may help the Super Eagles reach their full potential.
In addition, Chelle will serve as the supervisor of the Super Eagles B team as they get ready for the 8th African Nations Championship.
