PSG's head honcho, Nasser Al-Khelaifi, shut down the rumours linking Mohamed Salah to the French champions.

Paris Saint Germain president Nasser Al-Khelaifi has rubbished the reports that they were in contact with Mohamed Salah over a free agent move in the summer transfer window.

What happened

As Pulse Sports reported, Ligue 1 champions Paris Saint-Germain were alleged to have initiated contact with Mohamed Salah's camp in a bid to snap him up immediately he becomes available as a free agent

The 32-year-old has had a blistering start to the season, leading Liverpool to nine points clear at the top of the Premier League standings. Hence, there was a shock when Salah, whose contract expires at the end of the season, told reporters that he had yet to receive any offer for a renewal from Liverpool.

The Ligue 1 giants, who had an unsuccessful summer transfer window in trying to sign Kylian Mbappe's replacement, are reportedly attentive to Salah's situation.

According to a report from L’Equipe, PSG’s president Nasser Al Khelaifi has a cordial relationship with the Egypt international and is leveraging that to discuss a possible transfer.

What Al-Khelaifi said

The PSG president has immediately come out to pour cold water on the rumours, tagging them as untrue, as they have no interest in signing Salah.

“It’s NOT true,” Khelaifi told Sky Sports Germany, per Fabrizio. “He’s a fantastic and amazing player, but we’ve never considered Salah to be honest.

“We know every club would love to have him, but this rumor about us is simply not true.”
