Bayer Leverkusen striker Victor Boniface has given an update on a possible move to the Premier League later in his career.

The Super Eagles star has been in good form for his club since the start of the new season, scoring three goals and providing one assist in his first four games.

The forward scored in his last game against Wolfsburg after coming off the bench to score Leverkusen’s winning goal.

Boniface's performance has caught the eye of top teams in Europe, including the Premier League, with clubs monitoring his progress in Germany.

Boniface was asked if he saw himself playing in the Premier League. He told SportyTV, "No. I admit I did an interview before and I'm not saying this just because I'm on this level.

"I've been saying this even before I had an international passport, even before I dreamt of coming to Europe, I don't really like the Premier League.

"I said this before. I prefer Spanish football or German football. I'm not saying for example a good team comes for me I will not go.

"But I am just saying if you ask me to pick two countries, I really want to play in Germany and Spain, to live and play in Germany and Spain."

The Super Eagles player has stated that he would want to stay in Germany or transfer to Spain's La Liga if he ends his spell at Bayer Leverkusen.

He is being linked with a move to the Premier League after an impressive season with last season's Bundesliga champions.
