Sancho admitted that the Blues’ slow start, going 2-0 down in the first half, was not ideal.
However, he expressed his confidence in the team's ability to fight back, highlighting the manager's encouraging words at halftime.
The Englishman halved the deficit and penalties from Cole Palmer, either side of Enzo Fernandez’s stunning strike, put Chelsea 4-2 up.
Heung-min Son netted in second-half stoppage to put Enzo Maresca’s side under late pressure but the West London club avoided conceding a fourth.

Sancho’s remarks about goal
After the game, Sancho explained how Chelsea's tactics exploited Tottenham's aggressive approach, creating opportunities for one-on-one situations.
The England international specifically mentioned working on his shooting, suggesting that it was a focus in training.
"I've been working on my shooting a bit more,” said the former Borussia Dortmund attacker. “The staff and the players have been telling me otherwise.
"Going 2-0 down in the first half was not ideal but I knew we'd come back into the game when we got that first goal. Going in at halftime, the gaffer was telling us we were in the game. I have so much belief in the players so I knew we'd come out firing.
"They're very aggressive and we knew we'd catch them if we broke the lines and beat the press. The gaffer told us to stay wide and create the one-on-ones.”
