The match against West Ham was Iwobi's 274th Premier League appearance after 123 games for Arsenal, 100 for Everton, and 51 for Fulham.
The Super Eagles icon has established himself as one of the most dependable Nigerian players in the league's history, impressing at spells with each club he has played for.
After Fulham’s match against West Ham, Iwobi went clear of the legendary Kanu after previously being tied in second place on 273 appearances with the ex-Arsenal man.
Iwobi now sits behind only former Newcastle star Shola Ameobi on the list of Nigerian players with the most Premier League appearances, and he is just 15 appearances away from claiming the top spot.
With 7 goals and three assists already this season, Iwobi has become a mainstay for Fulham and it is only a matter of timebefore he eclipses Ameobi as well.
