Everton suffered a defeat that plunged them deeper into the relegation race against Fulham.
Despite Alex Iwobi’s best efforts, Everton were on the wrong side of a 3-1 scoreline against high-flying Fulham.
The Toffees looked to continue to ride against the relegation wave under the tutelage of Sean Dyche when they hosted Fulham at Goodison Park; however, today they were pulled back into it after a sound beating at the hands of Marco Silva’s men.
How it happened
Everton were off the back of a run of three games without a victory when they matched up against the Cottagers this afternoon. They started the game with a pop, buoyed by the Goodison Park crowd as they looked to return to winning ways.
However, the visitors soon played their way into the game and, unlike their hosts, were rewarded with a goal for their early efforts. Harrison Reed gave his side a 22nd-minute lead after he was set up by former Manchester United man Daniel James, much to the dismay of the home crowd.
