Alex Iwobi’s perfect midfielder includes the qualities of some of the greatest players to play the game, including his uncle, Austin Jay-Jay Okocha.

Super Eagles star Alex Iwobi has picked one of the qualities of Austin Jay-Jay Okocha as he builds his perfect midfielder.

Iwobi picked the skills of Okocha when asked by ESPN to build his perfect midfielder at a charity football event.

Iwobi’s choice should not come as a surprise as not only is Okocha his uncle, but the former Super Eagles captain is also one of the best players to play the game.

Okocha is known for his magic and trickery on the ball. During his playing days, the former Paris Saint-Germain midfielder was a dribbling wizard, embarrassing defenders with his dribbling skills.

Okocha was not the only player Iwobi selected when building his perfect midfielder. The Super Eagles star also picked Frank Lampard’s finishing.

Iwobi also picks Lampard, Pirlo, Ozil and Kante

Lampard remains the highest-scoring midfielder in Premier League history, so it is not a surprise to see Iwobi pick his finishing.

Iwobi also picked the passing of Mesut Ozil, whom he played with during his time at Arsenal. The former Everton man did not stop there as he also selected the work rate of the hardworking N’Golo Kante, the technique of former Italy midfield maestro Andrea Pirlo and the IQ of Brazil football legend Kaka.

Iwobi received praise for his choice, with many praising him for building the perfect midfielder. The reaction is a stark contrast to Mikel’s perfect midfielder, with many criticising the former Chelsea star for his lack of football knowledge.
