Iwobi's Fulham snatch late victory to go clear of Manchester United
A late brace from Harry Wilson completed a sensational comeback victory for Fulham to move into the top 10 on the Premier League standings.
As it happened
Marco Silva made just one change to the Fulham side that beat Crystal Palace before the international break.
Calvin Bassey and Alex Iwobi made the starting lineup after helping the Super Eagles secure a ticket to the 2025 AFCON tournament in Morocco.
Gary O'Neil, on the other hand, made three changes to the Wolves team that beat Southampton a fortnight ago.
Fulham started the game brightly and capitalised on a dominant start, scoring the first goal of the game.
Alex Iwobi collected the ball from Kenny Tete on the edge of the box and whipped a beauty into the far corner.
However, the lead did not hold for long as Wolves equalised to get back into the game. Mario Lemina lifted a great pass over the Fulham defence and Matheus Cunha took a first touch and then prodded the ball past Bernd Leno.
Just seven minutes into the second half, the away team took the lead. Joao Gomes drilled a shot beyond Bernd Leno after receiving a pass from Cunha.
Wolves extended their lead when Matheus Cunha was free on the edge of the box and he beautifully curled one over Bernd Leno and into the top corner.
The away team could not stop scoring as substitute Goncalo Guedes put the game to bed with the fourth goal, sealing the win for Wolves.
