Youngster Jack Komakech has had to be patient and work extra hard to finally nail down a starting berth in Vipers SC's starting eleven.
Despite being just 21, Komakech has been around the Vipers and national team circles for quite some time now, and it's fair to assert he was bound to get a nod in the team eventually.
Komakech has, this season, made both his CAF Champions League and Uganda Premier League debuts and has cemented the goalkeeping position as his own.
While he has virtually been helped by injuries to Alfred Mudekereza and inconsistencies from Fabien Mutombora, Komakech has grabbed his opportunity superbly.

FOOTBALL FUFA bites, Express FC matches suspended
And in a swift take of action, FUFA has suspended all matches involving Express until the culprits get apprehended.
Last time out against Soltilo Bright Stars FC, Komakech was yet again dependable as he put up a decent match-winning performance, with Vipers eventually winning 2-0.
Komakech also continues to get national team summons, and while he has yet to be the first choice, it's only a matter of time before he forces his way through to the sticks.
