Ageless Jamie Vardy told reporters why he mocked Tottenham fans for having zero Premier League titles.

Jamie Vardy continues to improve his claim to being the greatest player in Leicester City's history as he scores on their Premier League return to snatch a point against Tottenham Hotspur at the Kings Power Stadium

While his goal will dominate the front pages of newspapers, it is his gesture in the game, mocking Tottenham fans, that is making the rounds on social media. The 37-year-old has now provided some insights into action.

Vardy mocks Spurs fans

The Premier League Golden Boot winner headed into an empty net after a floated delivery from Abdul Fatawu Issahaku to rescue a point for Leicester.

He was substituted in the 79th minute and while coming off, Vardy gestured to the away section, pointing to the Premier League badge on his arm to indicate that he is an English top-flight champion. He then pointed to the fans and created the zero shape with his thumb and index fingers to remind Spurs fans they are yet to celebrate winning the Premier League.

Vardy was one of the key figures that helped Leicester City beat 5000/1 odds to win the Premier League in the 2015/16 season. He finished that season with 24 goals in the league, behind only Tottenham's Harry Kane's 25.

Vardy reacts to his gesture

Speaking after the game, the striker told Sky Sports he had the fortitude to continue playing, despite his advanced age.

"I see it as just a number,” Vardy said about his age, per the BBC. “As long as I keep looking after myself and my legs keep feeling great, then I will carry on for as long as is physically possible."

Speaking about this taunt of Spurs fans, he said, “You take a bit of stick during the game. As long as they can take it when I give it back, then it's all good."

Meanwhile, Ndidi, who was crucial to Leicester winning that point, could be on the Afrobeats scene soon as superstar Nigerian rapper Odumodublvck expressed his desire to work with him after hearing his singing.
