Former Spanish FA president Luis Rubiales handed restraining order from Jenni Hermoso
Rubiales continued to deny sexually assaulting or coercing Hermoso in court but was still handed a restraining order from the victim.
Although the former Barcelona midfielder missed a penalty in the final as Spain triumphed over England, that was not the worst thing that happened to her that day.
During the medal presentation ceremony, she was, according to her, forced into a kiss by the former Spanish FA president, who is currently facing criminal charges after Hermoso filed a complaint with federal prosecutors.
As a result of her pending legal proceedings against the former FA president, Hemoso has been left out of Spain’s squad to play in the UEFA Nations League against Sweden and Switzerland, with new head coach Montserrat Tome noting that the move was for her own good.

FOOTBALL Spain’s Hermoso spotted back in training after filing legal complaint against Rubiales over unsolicited kiss
Jenni Hermoso was pictured back in training with Liga MX Femenil club CF Pachuca a day after taking Luis Rubiales to court over the kiss gate scandal
The former assistant to Jorge Vilda also added that she and her staff are giving Hermoso the utmost support and that the decision to leave her out of the squad was borne out of that saying, "We are with Jenni in everything and with all the players. We believe that the way to help them is to be close to them and listen to them.
“I, who am the person most responsible, as well as my staff, have believed that the best way to protect it in this call is like this. We have Jenni, I have been working with her for 5 years. I have met her as a professional colleague because when we played we have faced each other.
"I have complete confidence in the players, I think that at a professional level we are surrounded by an incredible group of players."
The Pachuca midfielder was incidentally one of 39 players who signed a statement confirming their strike action to the Spanish FA as they await wholesale changes to the way that the women’s game is run.
