Kibuli SS, Royal Giants High School Mityana and Jinja Progressive registered wins on Friday morning.

Onduparaka youngster James Jarieko turned his guns against his fellow natives at Arua Secondary School to guide Jinja Progressive to a 3-2 victory in the National Secondary Schools Boys Championship.

Mpasa Swabil and Shafik Kwikiriza scored the other goals for the Jinja City and Regional champions.

JiPRA, as they’re fondly known, maintain hold of Group G with seven points, three clear of Africa With Love, who lost to St. Julian High School Gayaza in the other match.

Nkoma SS from Mbale missed a chance to go second after being held to a 1-1 stalemate by another West Nile side Panyadoli SS.

In Group H, Kibuli SS pounded Tororo Progressive 7-0 to assume control of the pool.

Royal Giants from Mityana entered day three on top of the table due to their superior goal difference and maintained their 100 percent record but Kibuli’s obliteration of ToPA meant the latter now has a better goal difference.

The school from Mityana were a 1-0 winner over Kabalega SS, who had put up some resistance.
