After just a year with Staines, Aribo signed his first professional contract with Charlton Athletic in September 2015 following a successful trial and signed a one-year contract in May 2016.
He signed on for three more years with the Addicks and helped the club secure promotion to the English Championship in his final season by winning the 2019 League One playoffs.
In four years at Charlton, Aribo scored 16 goals and assisted 15 in 97 games for the club before leaving as a free agent to join Scottish giants Rangers in the summer of 2019.
The Super Eagles star settled in quickly at the club, scoring nine goals and eight assists to win Rangers’ Young Player of the Year and Goal of the Season awards in his first season.
In his second season, Aribo helped Rangers end their ten-year wait for a Scottish Premiership title, contributing eight goals and seven assists in 43 games for Steven Gerrard’s team in the 2020/21 season.
In his third year, he helped the Gers reach the Europa League final and win the Scottish Cup with nine goals and 10 assists in all competitions.
Overall, Aribo made 149 appearances for Rangers, scoring 26 goals and registering 25 assists in three years.
Aribo left Rangers after three years this summer to join Southampton on a four-year deal worth £10m but his first and only season at the club did not go as planned at all, ending in relegation.
The Super Eagles star only managed two goals in 27 games for his new club and currently faces an uncertain future at Southampton.
