Manchester United's thrilling comeback victory against Aston Villa on Boxing Day not only boosted their league position but also brought immense joy to their supporters, especially to one young fan closely connected to the team.

Jonny Evans' Family Celebrates a Memorable Boxing Day

The 3-2 win was particularly special for Jonny Evans' nine-year-old daughter, Lottie. Helen Evans, the United centre-back's wife, shared the family's excitement on X, the platform formerly known as Twitter.

As reported by Daily Mail, she revealed, "Our nine-year-old just said: "That was the best Boxing Day I've ever had'." The Northern Ireland international, who rejoined United this summer after an eight-year absence, has made a significant impact both on and off the field.

A United Family

Evans' return to Old Trafford was a reunion not just with the club but also with his wife, who works for MUTV. The couple, who began dating in 2011 and married in 2013, have three children: Lottie, 9, Heidi, 6, and Eli, 3.

Helen continued her association with United even during Evans' stint with West Bromwich. Earlier this summer, she was part of the media team accompanying United on their pre-season tour of the United States.

A Nostalgic Exchange

The family's celebration was heightened by an amusing exchange on social media. Responding to Helen's post, Scott Patterson, a well-known United blogger, shared a picture of Jonny Evans celebrating Federico Macheda's iconic injury-time winner against Villa in April 2009.

Helen reacted to this nostalgic moment with a laughing emoji, highlighting the long-standing connection the family has with the club's successes.

Dramatic Win at Old Trafford

The Boxing Day fixture was nothing short of dramatic at Old Trafford. Erik Ten Hag's side, initially booed off the pitch at half-time trailing 2-0 with goals from John McGinn and Leander Dendoncker, staged a remarkable comeback.

With INEOS sporting director Sir Dave Brailsford in attendance, United's resurgence in the second half was spearheaded by Alejandro Garnacho's brace and a decisive 82nd-minute goal by Rasmus Hojlund.

Rasmus Hojlund: "The Happiest Man Alive"

After scoring his first Premier League goal since his £72 million move from Atalanta, Rasmus Hojlund expressed his elation, saying, "I’m the happiest man alive right now." Hojlund's goal not only marked a personal milestone but also played a pivotal role in United's victory.

He added, "It’s one of the best days of my life. It’s been a while in the Premier League now so I’m happy to get the first one and hopefully, I can build on that and keep going."
