Jose Mourinho’s chairman was attacked by invaders who threw bottles at him in shocking scenes in Turkey.

Mourinho, who recently joined Fenerbache, witnessed a shocking scene after his team failed to claim a victory against Goztepe.

Fenerbache’s chairman, Ali Koc, fell victim to fan violence after his side, Fenerbache, coached by Mourinho, drew 2-2 away to Goztepe.

Five minutes into the second half, Koc allegedly returned to the ground to join the away fans in the stands after some were denied entry.

The club said in a statement, "During the league match played against Fenerbahçe in our stadium yesterday, it is completely unacceptable to enter areas where only accredited people can enter, 'despite all the warnings of our CEO', while the match is still going on and to provoke our fans."

The incident represents a rise in the long-simmering fan violence that has been occurring in Turkey for years.

Vigorous occurrences have increased in recent years in Turkey, despite the sport's reputation for harsh settings and fervent supporters.
