Suer Eagles boss Jose Peseiro was spotted at the Akure Township Stadium watching an NPFL game
Super Eagles head coach, Jose Peseiro was at the Akure Township Stadium to witness the NPFL tie between the Sunshine stars and Niger Tornadoes.
The Portuguese manager has recently been on a watching spree of Nigerian players home and abroad over the last few weeks.
Having been at multiple stadiums to watch games involving Nigerian players of different age grades, Peseiro's latest stop was at Akure.
Peseiro visits Akure
Peseiro's trip to Akure to watch Sunshine Stars was a productive one as the Super Eagles boss revealed he held discussions with the club over the possible invitation of home-based players.
The 62-year-old has spent time watching the Nigeria under-17 and u-20teams and was now last seen at the Akure Township Stadium.
The home side put up a good display for Peseiro with a 2-0 victory over Tornadoes thanks to two first-half goals.
The Super Eagles manager witnessed goals by Ekerette Anthony Udom and Samson Olasupo in the opening 30 minutes which settled the game.
Before his foray in Akure, Peseiro was in Abuja where he watched the Flying Eagles beat Zambian u-20s 4-2 in a friendly game in preparation for the u-20 AFCON.
Before then, Peseiro was also watching the under-17s, spending time in the Golden Eaglets camp in the search for Nigeria's next superstar.
