England international Jude Bellingham continued his rich vein of form, finding the back of the net again, but it wasn’t enough to win his side all three points.
Bellingham bagged his 12th league goal of the season in what has been an exceptional one for the 20-year-old Golden Boy.
However, his strike was not enough to win Carlo Ancelotti's side maximum points against a very stubborn Real Betis side that refused to be beaten at home.

Carlo Ancelotti opted to start Ukrainian Andriy Lunin in goal, leaving out Kepa, who was returning from injury on the bench.
After a goalless first half, Jude Bellingham put Real Madrid in front less than ten minutes after the restart.
Brahim Diaz sent a lovely ball over the top of the Betis defense; Jude Bellingham controlled it nicely and slotted home past the goalkeeper.
In what was an end-to-end game, with chances at both ends, ex-Madrid midfielder Isco could have scored a fairytale goal but had his shot blocked when he was through on goal.
Real Betis refuse to be beaten
Real Betis found a way back into the game just past the hour mark and held on for a vital draw against an in-form Real Madrid side.
Los Verdiblancos, tutored by former Man City manager Manuel Pellegrini, refused to give up, and they did find an equaliser, all thanks to Aitor Ruibal.
Real Betis defender Aitor Ruibal unleashed a thunderous strike from distance that Andriy Lunin could do nothing about.
The draw takes Los Blancos to the top of the league, one point above Girona, who have a game in hand - away at the Nou camp.
