Juventus are expecting a decision on a potential points deduction from the Federal Court of Appeal in their capital gains scandal today

Serie A club Juventus will today find out the final verdict on the pending Plusvalenza case. The Italian Federal Court of Appeals is expected to hold a hearing to decide if the Old Lady will suffer a points deduction and how much the deduction is expected to be.

Juventus find out final ruling in capital gains case

Juventus have been accused of falsifying records and inflating transfer fees to receive capital gains in their records and were originally docked 15 points as a punishment when the original ruling was handed down.

However, they fought to get the 15 points reinstated pending an appeal to Italy’s highest federal court and will today find out the true sentence they will face.

Juventus risk further points deduction in final ruling

As Juventus have already been proven guilty of the offence, all that remains is to find out how severe the punishment for their transgressions will be.

The FIGC prosecutors initially requested a nine-point deduction as punishment, but Juventus were handed a 15-point penalty, which they decided to appeal against, citing irregularities in the harshness of the judgement.

However, the new judgement is expected to be similar to the old one, with rumours circulating that the Federal Court of Appeal is expected to hand the Old Lady a 12-point penalty for breach of the country’s laws against capital gains.
