Juventus are close to appointing Igor Tudor as their new head coach, with the club preparing to part ways with Thiago Motta once a deal is finalised with the Croatian manager.
The Italian giants have been thinking about changing their coach after suffering two heavy defeats in Serie A against Atalanta and Fiorentina. These losses have made the club reconsider their options and look for a fresh start.
Earlier this week, reports suggested that Roberto Mancini was a strong candidate for the job. However, Juventus have now made good progress in talks with Tudor, who has been without a club since leaving Lazio last season.
According to sources, Tudor is close to signing with Juventus and is expected to travel to Turin soon.

Juventus want quick resolution
The club aims to complete all paperwork by Monday to officially confirm Tudor’s appointment while also informing Motta of his departure.
Motta has struggled to bring stability to Juventus this season. Under his leadership, the team has been eliminated from both the UEFA Champions League and Coppa Italia. Now, their only realistic target for the 2024/25 season is to finish in the top four of Serie A.
On top of that, the recent heavy defeats to Atalanta (0-4) and Fiorentina (0-3) have raised concerns that things may not improve anytime soon.
Motta signed a three-year contract with Juventus in June 2024, with high expectations surrounding him. However, his time at the club appears to be coming to a disappointing end.
