FKFPL Shabana end 17 years of wait for Premier League victory by claiming Tusker's scalp
Shabana have finally registered the first win of the season after beating Tusker 0-1 in a match played at the Moi International Sports Centre, Kasarani.
Eshihanda put home Kevin Amwayi’s cross before Kasirye connected well with Estone Omengo’s delivery to head home the second goal for Abana Beingo.
However, Talanta scored two goals in a space of four minutes when Lucas Weitere reduced the arrears before Eric Ombija slotted home Dan Kago’s ball to make it 2-2 inside 42 minutes.
The home side would go ahead again after the break, Amwayi setting up Moses Shumah to make it 3-2 for Homeboyz but Talanta kept on pushing for a leveler which arrived 15 minutes from time, Ombija scoring his second of the match from the penalty spot.
The draw saw Homeboyz continue with their inconsistent form, having won two, drawn two, and lost as many of their opening six games of the season which leaves them in seventh place on the standings with eight points.
Patrick Odhiambo’s men are one point ahead of Talanta who have now drawn four, won one, and lost another of their six games to stay in 10th position.
