Sharks last won the FKF Cup in 2018 which allowed them to qualify for the Confederation Cup as well as play a friendly match against Everton at Kasarani Stadium in 2019.
As Kariobangi Sharks prepare to clash with KCB in the FKF Cup semi-finals at the Police Sacco Stadium on Sunday, 26th May, head coach William Muluya will leave no stone unturned to ensure they claim their second cup since winning the 2018 edition.
Sharks, who advanced to the last four thanks to John Mark Makwata's decisive goal against Assad FC in the quarter-finals, are riding a wave of strong form with four wins and a draw in their last five league games.
Muluya, reflecting on the team's performance, Muluya revealed his charges will not change any approach against KCB, considering it has given them sustained success in terms of results over the last two months.
"We will have no difference in approach in our team and the game. It's the same team,” he said in build up to the match.
“We will just maintain the same style that has been working for us in the league. It's a game of football like any other."
Despite their impressive run, Muluya and his team are not complacent. They understand that a single misstep could end their title aspirations.
"We are well prepared for the game. We have been having a good run in the league which we want to enhance. In fact, we are more focused for this match and we have been working on minimizing the errors that may arise," he emphasized.

5 reasons money-minting Nigerian Invitational tournament will help Gor Mahia achieve CAF Champions League targerts
Gor Mahia are set to take part in a lucrative invitational tournament in Nigeria this August. Here are five reasons why it will help their preparations for their CAF Champions Leagu campaign next season.
The FKF Cup holds significant importance for the Sharks. With Gor Mahia already crowned league champions and Sharks out of contention for a top-three finish, the cup represents their best chance at securing silverware this season and returning to continental competition.
Muluya is determined to guide his team to another triumph six years on from their last success, which earned them a chance to face Everton in a friendly match at the Kasarani Stadium in 2019 back when both sides were sponsored by SportPesa.
"We know the league is already won by Gor Mahia. We aren't even in a position to finish second or third and so our attention is on the cup. It's our shortest route to continental football which I feel we are now more mature to play in," Muluya explained.
