Kariobangi Sharks have established a reputation for developing young players, with head coach William Muluya sending some advice to Stanley Wilson.

Kariobangi Sharks head coach William Muluya has encouraged Harambee Stars prodigy Stanley Wilson to work harder in a bid to become a better player in future.

Muluya has created a reputation for developing young players since winning promotion with Kariobangi Sharks in 2017, and it is a trend he has continued to this day, with three of his squad players still in high school.

One of the brightest young sparks is midfielder Stanley Wilson, who signed from Darajani Gogo in August and started so brightly, that he even earned a call-up to the Harambee Stars set up for the friendly matches against Qatar and South Sudan.

Muluya however insists that Wilson still has a lot he needs to learn despite being talented, and he has made it his job to keep his feet on the ground.

“I think he is a talent, he only needs to work harder. God has given him the talent,” Muluya told Pulse Sports.

“He is still learning the game. He is not yet there but we really believe that he is going to become an improved one (in the future).”

The youthful tactician has insisted that it has been his job to instill confidence into his young players to help sharpen them given they are rough diamonds that need sharpening.

"The belief,”  Muluya said.” They are the only people and tools that we have, so it is only sharpening them,” he added.

“You can imagine if they stay the same with the same belief, but I have really put an emphasis on raising their confidence.”
