Ibrahim Kasule started his life at Major League Soccer on Saturday night as his New York Red Bulls cruised to a 2-1 win over New England Revolution.

The former Wakiso Giants midfielder deservedly earned a promotion to the senior team earlier on Saturday and made the bench.

Kasule was an unused substitute on the night as the Red Bulls Metro ground their sixth win in 21 games.

Frankie Amaya and Winkelman Carmona’s second-half goals grabbed the win for coach Troy Lesesne’s side at their Red Bull Arena.

New England scored through Brandone Eye, but the video assistant referee cancelled their second goal, which would have counted for an equalizer.

The win takes Red Bulls to tenth on the Major League Soccer table after 21 outings.
