BUL have gone four games without a win, a run that saw them lose their first match in the StarTimes Uganda Premier League under new interim head coach Simeone Masaba.
Ibrahim Kazindula believes that his BUL can draw inspiration from their dominance over Gaddafi to bounce back to winning ways when the two face off in Njeru on Wednesday afternoon.
The Eastern Giants have gone four games without a win, a run that saw them lose their first match in the StarTimes Uganda Premier League under new interim head coach Simeone Masaba.
The club had threatened to shake the status quo at the top of the league but their recent form has seen them gradually lose grip.
Villa’s loss last week in Lira saw them drop further as the Jogoos closed in on leaders KCCA to just a point. They have 34, five more than the Jinja side.
Kazindula believes that the team is still on course but will have to use this game to bounce back.
“Gaddafi has never beaten us in a competitive match and we want to use that advantage to motivate us ahead of the derby,” Kazindula boldly warned their opponent.
The two have met three times in the last two years with BUL winning once and drawing two.
“We want to extend that unbeaten run as we search for our first win in the second round,” he added.
Kazindula scored the opener when the two sides drew 1-all in the first round.
Gaddafi is 10th on the table with 23 points, six behind their Wednesday host.
