KCCA FC will look to avoid a repeat of the first round as they host relegation-threatened Busoga United in the Uganda Premier League at the MTN Omondi Stadium, Lugogo on Thursday.

Busoga United stunned and beat KCCA 2-1 in the first half of the campaign, a game hugely contested by the latter's faithful as it was played late on extremely dim lighting.

On that occasion (first round), the game only lasted 80 minutes with Emmanuel Ajo netting the winner in the 78th minute.

Ronald Kasamba had leveled fo Busoga earlier, while Dominic Ayella netted KCCA's consolation.

And, ahead of today's tie, KCCA head coach Abdallah Mubiru is fully aware of the threat posed by their opponents.

"We are looking forward to positive results, but, of course a team I would call a bogey side," he spoke in the pre-match interview.

"Because they are stubborn to us and we're trying to manage that. I think we'll manage it well," Mubiru added.

Mubiru's charges have managed victories in their last two games, beating NEC FC 3-0 and Vipers SC 1-0 last time out.

"We are targeting to build on the momentum we had built (before the two-week international break)."

KCCA sit eighth with 29 points after 20 games, while Busoga United lies 14th on the 16-team log with 17 points.
