KCCA FC have announced Sergio Daniel Moniz Tiraguil as the new manager on a two-year deal.

The announcement brings to an end speculation about the person to take the club forward following four years of no silverware at Lugogo.

KCCA have been without a permanent coach since Morley Byekwaso threw in the towel after a 1-0 loss to Bright Stars in the Stanbic Uganda Cup.

The appointment of club legend Jackson Mayanja as interim manager helped resurrect the fighting spirit in the team, but KCCA still lost the Startimes Uganda Premier League title to Vipers on goal difference.
