It's now six games dating back to 2017 when Mbarara City first stepped into the topflight, and the Kasasiro Boys are yet to master a win.

KCCA FC's Uganda Premier League dismal run at the Kakyeka Stadium extended further as they got beaten 2-1 by homeboys Mbarara City FC on Wednesday.

The hosts have now won two of their six meetings, while four games have ended in stalemates.

On Wednesday, however, CCA looked like they would bury the hatchet when they went ahead in the 34th minute through an Ashraf Mugume freekick.

But that was never to be the case as Sadat Nsubuga equalized for Mbarara City a minute later.

The latter still had enough in them to find a winner three minutes after the hour-mark through town boy Henry Kitegenyi.

And despite Mbarara's head coach, Wasswa Bbosa, getting sent off for continued protestations, KCCA still failed to find a significant bite.

With the defeat, KCCA are still languishing in the relegation zone with just seven points in the ten games played this season.

They have only picked two victories and a draw in ten games, so uncharacteristic of the history they have built over the years.

KCCA hopes to make amends when they host Soltilo Bright Stars FC on December 11 in their subsequent match.

On the other hand, on the same day, Mbarara, who have moved to tenth with 11 points, will visit UPDF FC at the Bombo Military Barracks playgrounds.

In the other game on the day, Busoga United and Maroons FC played out a 1-1 draw, with Bashamu Mugwa and Abraham Tusubira netting for each, respectively.
