Manchester City string wins together for the first time since October in the demolition of West Ham.

Manchester City win two consecutive Premier League games for the first time since October, after the 4-1 thumping of West Ham at the Etihad.

The Cityzens had been on a dismal run, with one win in 12 matches. They improved their winning percentage last time out with the victory over Leicester and have now extended it to a run of two wins.

Savinho forced a Vladimir Coufal own goal to give City the opener. Erling Haaland scored a brace, and Foden added a cherry on top before Nicklas Fulkrug scored a consolation goal for the Londoners.

Key match details

Manchester City started impressively, threatening an early goal, with Haaland and Rico Lewis coming close.

After weathering the early storm, the Hammers played themselves into the contest and could have gone ahead when Kudus dribbled through the right side of City's defence before side-netting his effort.

The opener eventually came for Manchester City in a fortuitous circumstance when Coufal deflected in Savinho’s attempted cross.

The Brazilian added two more assists to his total for City, finding Haaland in the 42nd and 55th minutes for the champions’ third and fourth of the match.

Kevin De Bruyne made history just before the hour mark when he assisted Phil Foden for City’s fourth. The assist was KDB’s 115th in the Premier League, and it took him beyond Cesc Fabregas and into second place in the division’s total assists standing.

Soucek found Fulkrug in the 71st minute to pull one back for Julian Lopetegui’s side. While there was still ample time left in the game, the German’s goal was not enough to spark a comeback.
