“That is not how we trained for the game but it worked for us,” the gaffer reluctantly said.

FC Talanta head coach Ken Kenyatta has said he is  far from happy with his team’s better defensive display against AFC Leopards after his side forced a 0-0 draw against Ingwe during their league encounter at the Nyayo National Stadium in Nairobi last Wednesday.

FC Talanta were subject to a 6-0 demolition by the Patrick Aussems' coached outfit in the first leg two months ago, and their solid defensive shape prevented Leopards from creating any real inroads in their defensive third.

“Sometimes I am happy and sometimes not so much. That is not how we trained for the game but it worked for us," he said.

"I cannot complain as such. I have to accept the result and the outcome.

I really thought that I would get a win, but we have drawn and I respect that. It is a plus to the win and at least, we got a point this time round," he added.

FC Talanta will play Sofapaka next Monday, hoping that a win will see them leapfrog Batoto ba Mungu into 12th place.
