Cameroon coach Marc Brys has expressed his displeasure with the defensive approach likely to be employed by Harambee Stars when the two sides clash in an AFCON qualifier on Friday.
Cameroon coach Marc Brys is expecting a highly defensive approach from Kenya when the two sides clash in an Africa Cup of Nations in Yaoundé on Friday evening.
The Indomitable Lions host Harambee Stars at the Ahmadou Ahidjo Stadium at 7pm (Kenyan time) and both teams are confident of securing a positive result to gain advantage in their qualification journey.
Harambee Stars coach Engin Firat has a tendency of making his team solid at the back with a view to hitting their opponents on the counterattack and that is the game Brys expects, saying he will have to find a solution to Kenya’s low block, if his side have to secure the points that they need.

Harambee Stars vs Cameroon: Predicted starting XI
Harambee Stars captain Michael Olunga and Timothy Ouma are set to return boosting Kenya’s lineup for the crucial AFCON qualifier.
“Kenya has come with nine defenders in the team, so it will be a hard team to break down,” Brys told the media.
“Kenya play with a low block and look to win their games with the slightest margins. We don’t have to be afraid. We are humble, but we’re not impressed. We are going to find the right moment and spot to hurt them.”
Part of the solutions at Brys’ disposal is striker Bryan Mbeumo who plays from Premier League side Brentford. The forward is in good form and comes into the match after scoring in his last three games at club level, something that delights his coach.

Harambee Stars are set to take on Cameroon in an AFCON qualifier in Yaoundé on Friday evening and here is how you can catch the action.
"Mbeumo is exceptional in his position and he has a lot of talent. He is very important to us like the other players. We play with the qualities we have and sometimes it works. It is always up to us to look for and find solutions to the defensive problems posed by our opponents,” he added.
Both Kenya and Cameroon have four points with Harambee Stars on top of the group due to a slightly superior goal difference.
Firat employed a highly defensive approach to secure a goalless draw with Zimbabwe before doing the same against Namibia when his counter-attacking tactics saw his side beat Namibia 2-1 last month, pointing to how he will likely set up against Cameroon.
